How HarryMStevens.com Came About...

Whilst carrying out some historical research, Derby writer, Milly Wong stumbled across some interesting information about a man from her own home town, Harry M. Stevens who was believed to have turned the hot dog into an American icon.

Wondering why she had never heard of this before, she decided to delve further and it soon became apparent that Harry M. Stevens, a successful product of Derby not only for bringing fame to the hot dog but also for designing baseball scorecards, was in fact unrecognised by the English town where he was born and raised. It also appeared that different websites, mainly based in the USA were offering contrasting and misleading so-called facts about Stevens' accomplishments.

With this, Milly decided to make it her personal duty to continue researching the accomplishments of Harry M. Stevens and create an information portal with an aim to raise awareness of what he actually achieved.

As well as researching the life of Stevens, Milly is currently collecting memorabilia from the USA connected to Harry M. Stevens Inc. and is planning to create an exhibition in a bid to raise a greater awareness of this astounding man in the city where he was born and raised, the city of Derby, England.
